Hi. I am Fiona Wallace and I go under the name of the Weeyelladug for my forays into photography.
I am very much an amateur photographer, and while I take images mostly for fun, I am in the process of trying to take my errant dabblings to a more advanced levle by utilising that thing called retirement – that period in your life where you find your hobbies an interests expand to fill the vacuum left once work is out of the equation.
My main genres (ooooh how awfy serious is that) are Sports (mostly rugby (Birkmyre RFC) and football (St Mirren WFC) but I dabble in Curling and Field Hockey too) and most of all Wildlife where my passions are Owls, Badgers, Birds of Prey (especially sea eagles and ospreys), Puffins, smaller birds, and as many Red Squirrels as I can shake a stick at.
I like Street photography and environmental landscapes/portraits. I’m not too interested in taking portraits but I do appreciate other people’s work. Finally, while I like landscapes and seascapes, I find I don’t have the patience to sit waiting for the correct conditions – and that from one who quite happily sits in a hide for hours on end waiting for critter to pass by.
I have two photo sites – one is Flic.kr where you can find my full albums on https://www.flickr.com/photos/76980152@N02/collections and the other is my soon to be available website which is very unfrilly and will host my favourite images.
I will be using this site for short articles about wildlife forays I’ve been on (ramblings of foot and pen) and some more generalised observations on photography.
Enjoy.
